The short version

Lostless stores your bookmarks, threads, and notes locally in your browser. We don't collect, transmit, sell, or share that content. The only thing you can voluntarily send us is your email address, and only if you opt in to release notes.

What data Lostless stores

Locally on your device via Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local: your bookmarks, inline threads, notes, color palette, and per-conversation history. This data never leaves your browser.
Settings: extension preferences (which tips you've dismissed, your last-used bookmark color).

What Lostless does NOT collect

No analytics or telemetry. We don't know who installs the extension, how often you use it, or what you do with it.
No content of your Claude.ai conversations is sent to any Lostless server. The extension reads the page locally to inject its UI; nothing is uploaded to us.
No advertising IDs, no third-party tracking scripts, no remote logging.
No cloud credentials, tokens, or API keys of any kind. Lostless is local-only.

Email signups (optional)

If you enter your email on this site or in the extension's welcome screen, that email is stored on a server we control for the sole purpose of sending you Lostless release announcements. We will send no more than a few emails per year. We never share or sell email addresses. You can request deletion at any time by emailing the address in the footer.

Permissions the extension requests

storage — to persist your bookmarks, notes, and threads in local browser storage. All data stays on your device.
activeTab — to interact with the Claude.ai page you have open and inject the bookmark and reply widgets.
host permission for claude.ai — the extension only runs on Claude.ai. This permission lets the content script inject the Lostless UI onto Claude conversation pages. Removing it would prevent the extension from functioning.

Children

Lostless is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy we will update this page and bump the "last updated" date. For significant changes (such as adding any new data collection), email subscribers will be notified.
